In New York City, she has been a guest at the Bowery Poetry Club, Cornelia Street Café, Manhattan Theatre Club, Brooklyn Museum of Art, Pratt Institute,and the Poetry Society of America; and she has been heard on Yellowstone Public Radio (Billings MT), WAMC (Albany NY), WNYC, and other local and regional radio stations. As Poet Laureate of Edgefield, SC, Laurel runs a poetry reading series. Most recently, poets Malaika Favorite and Anthony Kellman were featured at The Discovery Center. Upcoming is Veronica Golos reading from her new book, Rootwork, at the Tompkins Library on September 12, 2015.
